  • Air-Tight Firebox - No smolder. Cleaner, longer burns.

Sheltered versus Unsheltered

Aqua-Therm Boilers are the only outdoor wood Boilers available either sheltered or unsheltered!

Unsheltered

Many Aqua-Therm owners prefer an unsheltered unit in their own building. Some of the advantages of an unsheltered unit are:

  • You are out of the elements when loading the Boilers.
  • Wood storage can be incorporated into the building, although the Aqua-Therm does not require dry wood to burn.
  • Our unsheltered units are typically $1,200 - $1,300 less than our sheltered units and $3,000 - $4,000 less than the competitions sheltered stoves!

Sheltered

Our sheltered boilers are available in either white or dark green and allow for fast and easy installation. Other advantages of a sheltered Boiler include:

  • Units come completely plumbed, insulated and wired to code. Simply connect the tubing and electric supply and you are ready to go.
  • No additional chimney to run. Sheltered units have their own chimney, unlike unsheltered units.
  • Can be put anywhere. You are not restricted by building location or size.
  • Convenient doors. A large outer loading door keeps the unit clean and protected and a full-size rear access door allows full access to all components.
